Tantine has been knitting since age nine, "mostly badly-made scarves" but really started knitting in earnest when her own children were born.Bored with making adult sweaters, she concentrated on infants' and childrens' clothing. Discouraged by styles that were too grown up, Tantine brought back classic designs made from natural fibers. Her garments have been described as heirlooms and timeless. |
